Business Phone System Features,
Grouped by Problem, Not by Upsell
What features come with a VoIP Services Now phone system?
VoIP Services Now is the business phone service run by SRS Networks, a Salinas, California company operating since 1996. Every plan, from $11.99 per user per month with a 1-year commitment, includes an auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, schedules, voicemail-to-email, video meetings for up to 100 participants, HIPAA-compliant voice and video with a BAA available, and nationwide e911. Plus adds sending business texts and voicemail transcription; Pro adds call recording, CRM integrations and 10-year data retention, and recording is $8 a month on Basic and Plus. Call (866) 601-3636.
An Auto Attendant, Ring Groups, and Queues Get the Call to the Right Person
Auto attendant (IVR)
Menu trees with recorded prompts. Included on every plan, not held back for an upgrade.
Ring groups
Ring a set of extensions together or in sequence.
Call queues
Hold callers in order with position announcements instead of dumping them to voicemail.
Schedules
Route differently by time of day, day of week, and holidays.
Call forwarding
Send a line to a mobile, another extension, or an outside number.
Do not disturb
Per-extension, without taking the line out of the group.
Hold music
Upload your own, or use the default set.
Custom greetings
Recorded or uploaded per menu, per queue, per extension.
Business Texting, Video Meetings, and Voicemail-to-Email on the Same System
Business SMS
Text from the business number, not a personal mobile. Every plan receives texts; sending them is on Plus and Pro.
Video meetings
Up to 100 participants.
Voicemail-to-email
Audio file delivered to the inbox, with a written transcript on Plus and Pro.
Mobile and desktop apps
The extension travels — same number, same routing, off-site.
Online fax
Every user can receive faxes. Sending them needs an online fax line, included on Plus and Pro or $4.99 a month on Basic.
Voice tagging
When several menu options ring the same phone, it tells you which option the caller picked before you answer.
Unified communications: calling, video meetings, and texting on one system
HIPAA-Compliant Voice, Call Recording, and 10-Year Retention for Regulated Offices
HIPAA-compliant voice and video
Covered calling and meetings for clinical environments.
Business Associate Agreement
A signed BAA is available — ask for it during scoping, not after go-live.
Call recording
Included on Pro, $8 a month on Basic and Plus. Record every call, or only the conversations you choose.
10-year data retention
On the Pro plan.
Nationwide e911
Basic and Enhanced e911, with the registered address on file per extension.
Keep the Numbers You Have, Add the Ones You Need, and Connect Your CRM
Number porting
Bring existing numbers across, with no port-in fee. We handle the paperwork and schedule the cut.
Custom phone numbers
New local or toll-free numbers where you need them.
International calling
Enabled per extension so it can be controlled. Customers outside the U.S. can also be given a local number to reach you on.
CRM integrations
On the Pro plan. Supported third-party apps connect to the platform for screen pops and logging.
Fax machine line
A physical fax machine or MFP gets its own line and number, $13.99 a month with a 1-year commitment, Grandstream adapter included.
Analog device support
Paging amps and alarm dialers stay in service behind an analog adapter.
Fax machine lines: a line of its own for a fax machine or MFP, adapter included
The 25 Features That Get Used, Not Every Line on the Platform
That is 25 features named specifically, out of a platform that publishes more than 40 and 50 standard voice features on top. We have not listed all of them, because a list of everything is a list nobody reads and it is not how anyone chooses a phone system.
If something you need is not here, ask on the call. The answer is sometimes no, and a straight no now is cheaper than discovering it in month two.
When We Are Not Your Best Option
If you are shopping on feature count, we will lose that comparison to a national provider with a longer list, and you should let us. What is on this page is what gets used. What is on their page includes everything anyone ever asked for.
The features that genuinely do not exist here are contact-centre ones: predictive dialling, agent scripting, workforce management. If those are on your requirement list, buy a contact-centre platform.
Turn a feature list into a call-handling specification
Ask what a caller should experience, then choose the configuration that produces it. A checked feature box does not establish the destination, schedule or permission your business needs.
- An unanswered call
- Decide whether several people should ring together, callers should wait in a queue or a message should reach a named owner. Document the busy and unanswered cases separately; neither a queue nor an auto attendant guarantees someone will answer.
- Closing time and holidays
- Write the opening schedule and after-hours destination. Pick who approves holiday exceptions and who can request a change. Test the closing rule using a temporary agreed schedule rather than waiting for a real missed call.
- Access and record handling
- Specify who can hear voicemail, use recordings and change routing. Check the published plan matrix for the required tier or add-on. For a required integration, name the application and verify the actual workflow before purchase.
A practical acceptance check
Make an outside call during the agreed open, busy, unanswered and closed cases. Compare the greeting and destination with the written specification. Add a transfer and outbound caller-ID check for the roles that need them.
What to tell us first
Describe the call that is difficult today, who should receive it and what should happen when nobody answers. Include any required texting, recording or CRM workflow so the quote can identify the appropriate plan.

Step 1 — What do you need?
What to settle before you switch
- 1
We review your requirements
Start with users, site locations and the system you have today. You do not need a finished specification to ask for a quote.
- 2
Separate service, equipment and installation
Ask for the recurring plan, optional desk phones, onsite work and applicable fees to be shown separately. Site readiness and devices determine the installation scope.
- 3
Agree the port and installation plan
Contract dates, site access and carrier confirmation shape the target cutover. Keep current service active until the number transfer is confirmed complete.
